Food Loop Responses
I've gotten lots of comments about my recent food loop, which by the way rages on. David posted a video response almost immediately sharing one of his food obsessions.I have a confession to make. I actually did not mention one ingredient in my current food loop. It is not a critical ingredient but one that I feared you would find, well, odd. I worried that you might judge me or think I am a food fetish freak or something. But I have to be honest with you. We've been through so much together already. So here it the missing ingredient with my apologies. I head off to UMASS then up to Vermont until Saturday. That means I CANNOT have my food of choice. I will be okay. I am resilient. I am strong.

you slay me!
oh my gosh!
I have a need to tell you, that one of the three Worst Food Memories of my life was tasting something with seaweed in it.
Thanks oh so much for reminding me...

I LOVE Furekake! Ha! I definitely have to try this now. I could do with the fibre...
This stuff is LOL funny by he way. I have to show the boyfriends.
Loved the YouTube response to your response!
I have a friend who used to eat sticks of butter like an ice cream cone when she was little.... She snuck them out of the frig when she was 5 or 6. But, she eventually got caught because she took all the quarters of butter out, leaving the empty box in the frig. And that was the end of life experience with her Favorite Food.

Ah, my dear online friend you are experiencing a phenomenon of aging. As I am a year ahead of you in the march of time (drumbeats), I know all about food loops. I am stuck in several loops, one of which is to order the exact same entree at this particular restaurant every time I go there. Now you'd think I would have some dignity and order something different; you know explore the possibilities, but no, I want the same old thing. Sound familiar? So be comforted, you are among fellow food loopites, loopians or whatever we should call ourselves.
I made an awesome miso soup last year with nori furikake as one of the primary flavorings. I've found that algaes (as seaweed is a macroalgae) are an acquired taste and one will either love it or hate it. Count me in the "Love it" group ;)
